Bench100 Privacy Policy

Bench100 collects nothing. Your records and videos stay on your device. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no servers of ours.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Information we collect

None. The app uses no analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or data-collecting third-party SDKs. The developer never receives your weights, reps, body weight, videos, or device identifiers.

Where your data is stored

Workout records (weights, reps, dates), body weight, and settings are stored inside the app on your device. They are included in your own iPhone or iCloud backups, which only you control. Deleting the app deletes the data.

For widgets and the Lock Screen, a few numbers (such as your current weight and goal) are also kept in a shared storage area (keychain) on your device. If you have our app Next Total, the two apps share your bench numbers there. Nothing is sent off your device.

Camera, microphone, and Photos

When you record a video to check your form or to remember an attempt, the app uses the camera and microphone. With Plus (or if you've used the app since 1.1 or earlier), videos are saved inside the app, and also to Photos if you choose. Otherwise they are saved to Photos. The app only adds to Photos; it does not read your existing photos or videos. The app never sends videos off your device.

Notifications

Rest-timer notifications and the reminder 3 days before a free trial ends are scheduled locally on your device. There is no push server or token, so nothing about notifications leaves your iPhone.

Purchases

Bench100 Plus (monthly, yearly, or one-time) is processed by Apple through the App Store. The app only asks Apple whether your Apple ID owns Plus. Payment details are handled by Apple and are never visible to the app or the developer. You can manage or cancel auto-renewing subscriptions at any time in iPhone Settings. To check whether you've used the app since an earlier version, the app reads, on your device, the original version you first installed from the App Store information Apple provides. It is not sent to the developer.

Exporting your records (CSV)

You can export your records as CSV from Settings anytime. You choose where to send the file with the share sheet. The developer never receives it.

Health data

The app does not read from or write to Apple Health.

Children

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Not medical or coaching advice

Bench100 suggests weights and reps for training. It does not diagnose or give treatment advice. If you have a medical condition or pain, consult a doctor before starting.
