The app that decides your next bench press weight, all the way to 100 kg.
Bench100 uses the 5×5 rules to set your next weight. What to do when you stall, when you take a break, and when you attempt 100 kg is decided from the start.
Everything you need to reach 100 kg (225 lb) with 5×5 is free: every session's weight, the guide, and rebuilding after a stall. Exporting your records (CSV), the rest-over notification and the rest bar on other tabs are free too.
Bench100 Plus (paid) builds add-on exercises (accessories, paused bench, stall-breakers) into your daily workout. From 1.2, Plus also includes 3 weeks of peaking before an attempt, 4-week waves beyond your goal, the projection to your goal, and keeping videos in the app. If you've used Bench100 since 1.1 or earlier, the projection and in-app videos stay free for you. Recording and saving videos to Photos is free for everyone. From 1.3, Plus also includes weekly progression after stalling twice at the same weight, Home and Lock Screen widgets, and rest time on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island (on iPhones that have it). If you've used Bench100 since 1.2 or earlier, weekly progression stays free for you.
Questions
Is there an app that tells me what weight to bench next, all the way to 100 kg (225 lb)?
Bench100 is an iPhone app that uses the 5×5 rules to set your next bench press weight and reps every session, based on how your last session went.
My bench press has stalled. What should I do?
Bench100 has a plan for stalls built in from the start: you drop the weight by 10% and build back up.
I took a break from training. What weight should I restart at?
Bench100 decides what to do after a break, too. The app sets the weight for your comeback session.
Can I record my bench press form on video?
Yes. Bench100 records your sets and can save the videos to the Photos app.
Can I export my workout log to a spreadsheet?
Yes. In the Settings tab, tap Export records (CSV) and choose where to send the file from the share sheet.
